SKF – Sieve Basket Filter

Robust coarse filter for process filtration and to protect sensitive systems

HETA sieve basket filters are used to protect valves, pumps, compressors, volume meters and safety-relevant components. The sieve basket filter can be used in both, suction and pressure lines. Inlet and outlet can be at the same height. Therefore, the SKF can be integrated into both, new and existing pipe systems, without having to install additional bends. Equipped with appropriate shut-off valves, the SKF can be taken out of operation for cleaning of the SKF insert. The filters can also be used as twin filters connected via a valve (A/B version) and mounted on a SKID. This has the advantage of ensuring non-stop filtration with one filter always in standby and one in operation.

Materials

The vessel can be made of stainless steel, carbon steel (with or without internal coating) or glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP). We are also specialized in materials such as Inconel, Alloy, Hastelloy, Duplex or Super Duplex.

Filter inserts

  • Slot type element
  • Sieve basket made of perforated plate
    (covered with mesh or without mesh)
  • Filter bag made of PP/PE/aramid fleece

Sieve basket is available made of Stainless Steel, Titanium, Hastelloy or Super Duplex.
Other materials on request. Filter bags (aramid fleece and PTFE coating) can also be used.
